Home-stay For Foreign Exchange Student to Study in the Beijing of China
Experience life in the China as a GILA and GIDA foreign exchange student!
Each year, more than 1000 students from over 120 countries experience Chinese from a unique perspective. They participate in the Golden Int’l Dance Academy (GIDA) and Golden Int’l Language Academy (GILA) program, where they attend a GILA and GIDA full time students and join a caring Chinese family.
GILA and GIDA students share their customs and cultures with their Chinese host families and new Chinese friends. In return, they receive a lifetime of treasured memories and friendships and gain a special understanding of the Chinese language and Chinese cultural diversity.

You will attend GIDA and GILA in China
You will attend GIDA and GILA as full time students and will join home-stay communities selected for the Academic Year in China program have schools of excellent academic quality that provide a valuable educational experience.
GIDA and GILA offer short period or long period Dance or Chinese language training or Academic Years an interdisciplinary approach to education, which means that students take a variety of courses in language, dance history, geography, literature and science. GIDA and GILA provide copies of your transcripts to your school before you arrive. When finished, you can receive an official transcript listing courses you took and the grades you received.
You will join our schedule of classes based on your educational objectives and considering courses you have already completed. Courses are offered at varying levels of proficiency. GIDA and GILA guidance counselor will help to ensure that you are placed at the proper level. You may not always be placed with students your own age in every class.
Academic Year in China students are expected to carry full course loads and participate in school as any Chinese student. Schools operate on various academic schedules, and course lengths may vary. Examples of some schedules are semester, block system, trimester and full year. With Academic Year in China, you visit China for an entire academic year (10 months) or a semester (five months).
Your Classes
GIDA and GILA monitor your program performance and quarterly grades. You are subject to the same academic and social rules as Chinese students in the academy. Teachers and guidance counselors are asked to contact your and host family immediately if problems arise.
To remain in good standing in the program, a student must enroll in an appropriate Chinese dance, Chinese culture, Chinese language or literature course and a Chinese Studies course, and maintain or better average in all classes;

* GIDA and GILA require its students to take at least for academic subjects, always including a Chinese language, literature, write course and a course Physical education, and Electives.

Program Fee $9,800.00 per student with the period
Registration : start on Jun. 7, 2010, between Tuesday and Sunday: 11am-8pm;
This fee covers teaching, books and tapes, housing, orientation, and excursions and cultural activities. It does not cover airfare, visa fees, accident/medical insurance, some meals and house during the 4-weeks travel break, and personal expenses. This listing is intended to summarize possible charges that could be incurred against a students account. Certain charges are dependent upon specific circumstances, as noted.

1. Textbooks are included in the program fee.
2. The application fee for program is 1000 RMB.

Transcripts
Students must request transcripts before they leave the China. In some cases, GIDA and GILA may award you a certificate of attendance, or a diploma if you have completed all the necessary courses for graduation (and if they decide to accept courses you took in your home country school toward your diploma). The GIDA and GILA program can guarantee a certificated or diploma or graduation in which depend on you join GIDA and GILA program.
